SP/Dif to Aes/ebu

Hi,

I have a TC Gold channel, and it has 24 bit I/O on Aes/Ebu only. (20 bit on
SP/Dif) Can I just make a cable Aes to SP/ Dif and connect it with my Motu 2408
and stay with 24 bit ?
