I have a Jerry Jones (not Jenny Jones) baritone guitar and it's a nasty beast that growls when smack it, really amazing. It cost me about $750 at some small gtr store in L.A. I know the Danelectro ones are way cheaper but they also feel cheaper to me. This one is made by hand in Nashville and the company really does a great job being true to the old Dano but it plays in tune like a mofo, it's got a truss rod, don'cha know (yeehaw). I haven't tried de-tuning it but I will now. It's so great sounding I can never put it down once I pick it up. I try to do all my gigs on it now. It is *supposed to be* tuned from A (second string of bass gtr) to A, same intervals as *normal* gtr. when play a low A chord (joe blow E shape on *normal gtr*) it's the most beautiful sound on the planet. It has a very long scale so bending is a trip. Things bend more than they would on *normal* scale necks. I also have a Deering six string banjo which is equally trippy in a different way, I might try tuning that really low and pretending I'm a bass player some time, hmmmm.... -- GO SEE http://www.teddybut.com and http://www.mp3.com/teddybut Kumpelstiltskin Music, Inc./EMI Music Publishing Burning Beagle Studios, Brooklyn, NY
