When I boot up I see it doing the memory test. How do I check the timing of the memory? Your memory should show up on the same menu page of the BIOS where you adjust your drive settings. If you hunt around in the BIOS you should find some references to memory timing and ECC error checking etc. Try setting all these to the most cobservative setting you can and see if the system boots then. You can then ratchet down the settings until the system gives up at which point you can go backa step safe in the knowledge that you (should) have a stable system.... > > The place that did the upgrades on my old computer just took the old motherboard out with the memory and >processer still on it. So I just installed it like it was. Seemed pretty cut and dry, Although I was a little confused >about the wiring for the case. If I mixed up the negative and minus, it wouldn't cause the system hardware abnormal >error would it? I appreciate all the help. I tried calling MSI but that was a complete disappointment as getting them >on the phone is impossible!! Thanks!! maybe the connectors to the keyboard mouse etc. board are not made properly (very long shot...) ?? I've forgotten what the original problem was though :( good luck -- Mark Lennox Consultant ENDUSER Guinness Enterprise Centre Taylor's Lane Dublin 8 Ireland -- e-mail : mark@... phone : (+353 1) 4100 665 direct : (+353 1) 4100 707 fax : (+353 1) 4100 985 web : http://www.enduser.ie --
