Yamaha MSP5's for about $500/pair. Sound great, pack a punch in a small
inexpensive package. Otherwise, even the smaller Genelec's with the Digital
Input are well priced for what you get. For larger and cheaper (although not
too cheap). I've grown fond of the KRK V8's and V6's and so far I have
favored the larger Yamaha's (MSP10's) over the genelec's of the same size. I
think that Yamaha has got some great powered monitors. The yamaha stuff so
far have been the only thing besides the Dynaudio's that sound great yet
still provide good 'perspective' on how things will sound on other stereos.
