I'll post some samples up somewhere in a few weeks maybe. Capturing the bass is the biggest problem and then there is the issue of the saxophinist moving about and turning around, but hey that comes with the territory > My advice would be to invest in good DAT-Recorder. > There is a good one from Tascam, the DAP 1. > I know, its a bit expensive, but its worth the money! yeah, looked at this but cant afford it yet :-( >AKG C414 (thats more flexible, because you can use > it somewhere else, because it has more patterns, too.) Which is the best model to go with the 414ULS or 414TL?? I'll have to manage along with what I have until I can afford more microphones and then a better portable recording solution. Right now I have to lug (excuse the pun) my computer and gear to the location to record. The mobile setup I have now allows me to put everything I need in a guitar gig bag and walk to the location. If you are interested the setup I have decided on is: M-S matrix: Project Studios c3 for a figure eight Side microphone Rode NT1 for mid mic then some close mics (maybe another RodeNT1) for other instruments if necessary Thanks to all who replied -- Mark Lennox Technical Consultant ENDUSER Suite 40 Guinness Enterprise Centre Taylors Lane Dublin 8 Ireland Tel: +353 1 4100 665 Fax: +353 1 4100 985 web: http://www.enduser.com --
