   Err...    Actually torturing people is frowned upon here in Australia  .
Amnesty International is a fine organisation which occasionally gets it's
knickers in a knot and if they think to compare Oz with Israel,Syria,Saudi
Arabia ,Iraq[n] ,Turkey et al then they are sadly misinformed .
 Stupidity is generally discouraged at the ballot box here ,maybe they
should try it there  .Occasionally we get it wrong but fortunately religious
leaders dont really have too much say in gov. policy , the only downside of
not listening to religious relics is they have too much time to think of
little boys bums , but these days the courts are taking care of that .
