Yeah, that's what I figured. The Mackies have never
struck me as a particulary "warm" board, I always
thought of them as the closest thing to digital clean.
Nevertheless, I want to avoid that "too much
separation" (if you know what I mean) sound
that I associate with an all-digital signal path.
So I guess it's a 1202VLZ pro for me.
Also, the techs at Zzounds said that it cannot
be used as a logic control, so that gets rid of
one major reason for me to get it.
FWIW, Zzounds is having a blowout, the
VM3100 is $350, the VM3100Pro is $450.
Pretty good prices... I guess they have been
discontinued.
