I have an updated but still fairly slothlike mac:
Power PC 8500/120 with 450MHz G4 CPU Sonnet upgrade card.
CPU is good, but system buss is VERY slow.  My audio card is
an audiowerk8, so I can't record more than 2 tracks at a time.

I don't run very heavy projects (yet), but last night I believe I was
running
about 6 audio tracks, a couple of ESMs,  a couple of ESX24s, one EVP88,
a compressor, and an expander.  Both CPU and disk were at less than
25%.  Not too bad, really.
