But Digi provide specific hard disks that they recommend. There is a Protools 
keyboard for mac. They don't seem to have any shortage of plug-ins, despite 
their unique interface (see their ads). And many people on LUG in the past 
have claimed that recording the same audio in PT and LA sounds better in PT 
for some reason.
