I have found the LAME encoder to be the best-sounding encoder. There are a ton of apps that use this encoder, I use WinLame for Windows; a quick search turned up DropMP3 for the Mac at: http://philippe.laval.free.fr/DropMP3/US/index.html I can't vouch for this particular app, but I can vouch for LAME. --- Plate of shrimp On Fri, 20 Sep 2002 17:42:31 Sumit Das wrote: >What mp3 encoders do people like? > >I prefer to work on the Mac, I have checked out: > Audion (really fast encoding) > n2mp3 (nice to use, good control over encoding) > >Is one of these the best out there?
