I never said you where an asshole...really you should not read into my words so lightly. I don't regard you as an asshole. There is a big diff if I felt otherwise. If I felt that way, I would have openly said it. One reason is...though you and I exchanged a few blade swipes in the past. You actually never let your opinion of me sway if I said something logical [which is rare, I must admit my guilty pleasure of inconsequential]. But as I remember in one set of posts, you proceeded a with witty remark toward me, with regards to someone I was instigated by. Yes, it brought out the worst in my demeanor. But, then you also agreed with me on two alternate occasions following with something I said to another member on the same topic. To which I hold this kind of behavior as commendable. Though I don't stand with you on the "Conflict", your opinion being a little biased for my taste...but I voiced my stance on that. I do stand with you on the Censorship issue. But you do have the ability to be unbiased with your assessment of others...and that my friend is still commendable trait. Which is probably why your dialogue occasionally puts HK and you at odds. Because he reflects that in his dialogue with others as well. Though I think HK has a tendency to be more lenient than you. Your approach being more like: You idiot HK's approach being more like: Are you absolutely sure you want to say that? I must admit it is amusing. It gives way to the idea that HK would have made a great Diplomat or ambassador. Where as you would probably made a good Judge. That is without your bias on the "conflict" issue. It still doesn't change my opinion of you. One can have any biased opinion they want, but when someone says something that is right, and another [such as yourself] relinquishes bias and say "your right or you have point". That is a commendable trait. However, I must agree with what pupkid wrote: > Plus anything that can get Dennis and Henrik to agree has got to be > bad. :) Yeah, after thinking about it, mod team fucked up. Early on, I did post, then it had been put in cue, as Jeremy informed me that it is to be discussed, I did then waver and told Jeremy to delete my post and said "screw it, delete it, the fight is out there, not in here". But after thinking about it...I have to agree to NO censorship. But we have to allow for mistakes like this. So here is a little clipping of what I was saying: >>>The "mothers of prevention" wanted to put the music industry with responsibility of not allowing certain material to be glorified or even presented to the consumer for albums and videos. Everything from sex, violence to cuss words, etc. [this would mean, album like the Wall or Dark Side of the Moon would then become topics of debate]. Frank Zappa, and many others fought against this...why? For the freedom of self expression. Then a compromise was settled. Any material should be rated and labeled for the consumers benefit. Allowing the parent to censor their children's input. That was the compromise, that and being over 18 to buy certain material. Like the movie rating system. No censorship, just a warning. So, to the admins...one thing is to label it "off Topic" or censor inappropriate expressions from the LUG. But the other is to prevent it totally from having an avenue of expression. That is where is becomes a rather heated issue. Yes, I understand it is L-OT. But it is OT as well.<<< In France the politicians tried to pass bill that would allow French business' to take on the American business model. Which would be, your first year at job, no four week vacation pay. They would have to work through to the first year for one week vacation pay for the following year, then two years for two week, then five years for three weeks, etc. Just like American business. However the French people were piiiiissed off by this. They protested and sanctioned business' from workers. The French Government then said..."okay, okay, we got it, we won't do this, just come back to work and let's get on with keeping things the way they are." The French people, then turned around and basically said, "NO...Fuck you...Now we want five weeks holiday pay". LOL. Effectively, they renegotiated and got the terms of five weeks holiday pay. Which then put the French Government with one valuable lesson learned..."boy, better not try that again." However this story was told to me, so don't know if there is actual merit to it. But if it is true...vive la france...way to go. LOL. Peace, Alexis
