I know.
But if you occasionaly read what I usually post to the LUG you will know
that it's hardly ever OT. There are just very few things that I have to get
off my chest and the recent thing is one of them.
And, you're saying it shouldn't been "born" on a pro-audio list... ahem, I
could tell you hundreds of OT threads (sometimes even more OT than this one)
that generated way more traffic then this one (I mean, there were like 5-10
posts, that's almost nothing).
Plus, at least this thread so far was a unique one ;-) - unlike the "Dongle
vs. no Dongle" or "4.7/5.0/any version when?" threads or (even worse) the
various "PC vs. Mac" (which usually results in some "Bill Gates jokes" kinda
thing) threads, which everybody seems to consider beeing on topic while
almost NEVER resulting in even the slightest bit of information. These
threads usually generate 100-500 mails and sometimes even are continued over
weeks.
So, I don't think a few slightly different OT threads (like the ones about -
IMO great tasting - belgian beer and fries), not even cluttering up your
mailbox a lot, don't exactly do any harm. Plus, I did my best not to keep
this on the LUG as fast as possible which for most OT threads hardly ever
happens (unfortunately).

Cheers,
Sascha
