ya... good one Ubik... I use that technique too. Also, a good one: for a singer with an acoustic guitar, try pointing a cardiod mic up at their chin so they're singing across the mic and another cardiod mic, just under/next to that one, down at the guitar, preferably, in my experience, away from the soundhole sort of facing down on the upper shoulder of the guitar that rests on the leg of the player. You'll get great separation, no phasing if the mics are close enough to each other and no siblance. Yeehaw. Teddy Kumpel
