They are a must have, not for the basics like EQ and compression and 
reverb but for all the truly wacked out stuff.  Also there are some 
run of the mill effects where I feel pluggo hangs in there with the 
very best.  They have a flanger called Jet for example that sounds 
about as good as any flanger I know of.
