Solo the virtual instrument channel/track and "bounce to disc" (done by
clicking the little "bnc" button at the main stereo out). Then put the
resulting audio file on an audio track.

This is another method. Some people simply "re-record" the output to an
audio track because it's a faster way to convert virtual midi instruments
midi tracks to audio.

Freeze! I just scanned the Emagic pages and found no indication that the
freeze function is not a part of your version as well (Express)
