Well, let me be totally honest: IMO there is _no_ excuse today for a slow site
or a site that won\ufffdt load with different browsers. I am (for instance) still
having trouble with Emagics site someday, using Netscape.

The point is, that most people DO NOT need animated drop-down menus and stuff
when it comes to gathering information or downloading demos and updates.

We all can see, that the most often visited sites of big companies like CNN,
big german newspapers or Ziff Davis Net etc. NEVER use such gimmicks \ufffdcause
they want to attract as many users as they can.

The REAL problem I see are these "nice" development tools used for designing
websites. Especially those of Microsoft make it very easy to implement things
that won\ufffdt work with anything else than the Internet Explorer (at least not
in a correct way)...
