Actually, I think the first time I heard that word used so cavalierly was on the TV show, "M.A.S.H."  Major Winchester was fond of using that term rather than "moron" (my
personal favorite).  So, I suppose once again, we can blame TV writers for propagating an impropriety.  :)  I suppose next someone will call someone "leukemia breath."  Erk...
