Logic 6.4.1 channel EQ

I went to the manual for info about the channel EQ but it basically just tells you what 
buttons to press especially regarding the anylizer. This is like telling a student driver 
where the ignition is and setting him loose. Is there someplace I can get detailed info 
about the channel EQ?
