I guess each person should have their own set of in-ears?

But that and the small size means usually less low end. Do the in- 
ears provide enough bass for a smooth tone, to feel comfortable?

Usually I switch one channel of the monitor mix off and I guess in- 
ears are just small phones and I could do the same, not?
