Subject: Re: [LUG] Getting The Best Sonic Quality Mixes

Please bear in mind that of course " the content " of the music is
absolutely the most important thing, however since this is a technical
discussion list, I thought it best to narrow it to just the technical
aspects.

One of my original reasons for starting this thread, was the idea that the
end user (the public) most likely will ultimately be comparing all the
music to listen to, (whether they realize it or not).

I am sure that most will agree that these days, lots of people listen to
their music collection in some sort of music player such as iTunes or some
other such application. And whether they listen to the original .aiff or mp3
or aac - all this music is still side-by-side next to each other, so
whether they are professional musicians able to dissect the minute audio
differences between songs or just "regular people" who might say something
like "that song is kind of dull sounding", the sonic aspects are being
compared, at least somewhat.

Having said all of that, that is one aspect of why I was concerned with
getting the best sonic quality mixes - to be able to compare favorably - on
a sonic quality level, with the best music out there.

And that is why this thread has helped so much - so thanks to everybody!
