There's a lot more than just pitch bending going on when when you pull a string. You got the tone changing (filtering is gonna be needed), and the volume level changes, all this and the pitch is constantly changing during the bend of the string, so yes it is hard to simulate that. > vibrato too by tiny pitch bends.
