(OT) AMT8 & MacOS

(OT) AMT8 & MacOS

2001-07-24 by Andy Hardwake

Hi,

I know this is not a TDM related question, but since this list is the most
knowledgeable Mac community I know of, I think someone has an answer to
this. I'm still on my 8100/110 (w/ Sonnet G3 card), and I've not yet decided
if I should upgrade it all the way to TDM or get a G4 and go native with
Digi001 or RME card (guess I'll see if the prices drop after Digi announces
its new hardware and then will make up my mind). I want an AMT8, which if
I'm not mistaken will work with either system, but now I found out there'll
be 2 versions for MacOS 9 and OSX, so I'm totally confused. Any info if
there will be 2 different *hardware* versions or is it only about drivers?
Will the regular AMT8 work on MacOSX and vise versa? Thanks in advance for
any info.

Best,

Andy

Check the news on Emagic site. There will be new OS X drivers for
AMT8 so you're safe :-)

Cheers
