You could try out some newsgroups (there are some with midi in their
names), but I don't know whether they're useful/legal.

You can try http://www.midimight.com/midi/ but if you think you are
gonna find anything useable out there in the way of midi files, you may
be disappointed. Most midi files available are only good for grabbing
the melody line, if they have been lucky enough to get that part right.

http://members.tripodnet.nl/santiago3/Midi/missy_elliot_-_get_ur_freak_on-ab
s.mid
(haven't listened to it yet, no realtime MIDI device connected to my mixer
atm, don't want to import to Logic and convert to EXS right now)

Found through:
http://www.aitech.ac.jp/~ckelly/midi/help/midi-search.html
which still seems to be the best site to find a particular file.

There used to be a ton of MIDI files on the net, but I think some of the
artists threatened to sue, so the sources seemed to dry up.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
