China threat

A few examples In 1996, during PResidential elections in Taiwan, the chinese started firing missiles 25 miles off the coast of Taiwan as a message. The US moved two aircraft carrier groups in to the region. A chinese leader said, ulimately they would take Taiwan because the US cares more about Los Angles than Taipei. About six months ago, several Chinese generals signed their names in blood to a letter stating that they were ready to die to take Taiwan - anxious to go to war. Since Taiwan has about 1/40 the population or size of China, the only thing holding them back is the United States navy. There is a lot stuff like this. Its essentially state policy. See "Scientific American" magazine from a few months ago. Russians have been developing a high speed torpedo and selling it to Chinese. A retired Navy friend told me that the US knew of these in the 80's and calls them "Carrier sinkers" although this was secret at the time. One American was arrested in Moscow about a year ago trying to find out about this high speed torpedo that travels about 200 mph, and creates its own gas bubble. The submarine Kursk that sank, reported carried several Chinese officiers. Its rumored that the Kursk sunk because of misfire of this new torpedo. Chinese have been activiely involved in spying in the US. One Chinese double agent showed up at the CIA with plans for OUR best nuclear weapon. China scares me. Especially if you read about how they fought the Korean War. They had no hesitation to sacrifice 100 of their men to kill 10 Americans. Americans fired their weapons until they overheated and had to urinate on them.
