The truth? I'm starting to sound like Jack Nicholson in a movie here.
The truth is, you can't handle the truth. The truth we do not know.
The only thing, and this is my opinion, is that there are culture
differences. Different people see a situation differently.
The only thing I've seen here on this list, and to some extent being
reported by media, as far as they can, is fear and the reactions to
it.

I don't understand this. And it's probably that culture difference,
but why are you all thinking that to discuss the position of the
leader of the US is an attack on the whole American community and
society? Why is it always so black and white, either you are with them
or with us? This seems like a kind of Holywood way of presenting
things, too simplistic in my view. Or is media manipulation here at
work? I know a couple of Americans and they are people who have a more
moderate view on things than this polarized view.
I'm aware that European governments also aren't such 'good guys' in
the same way certain agencies of the US have misbehaved. If I look at
arm sales of France, the Netherlands selling weapons to both China and
Taiwan etc. You need to read more about this, read some of the
articles by Michel Chossudovsky on http://globalresearch.ca/. That is
if you have the time.
Trying to question the actions of the leaders of a country is not a
bad idea, as some have already made clear in some mails already. It's
exceptionally important to do this, especially when a action of the US
could drag the whole world into on big nasty world war. How about try
to dialog? The discussion in this list I've been following seemed like
a mini war, with words thank God. And this is only a community of
what 400 people? There are other ways than the military way, that will
have less casualties.
Peace,
Yoonchi.
