OT : EXS24 & Akai CD-Rom/CD-DA discs ?

OT : EXS24 & Akai CD-Rom/CD-DA discs ?

2001-10-21 by cyrilg2@hotmail.com

hello,
i got a problem with EXS24.

It doesn't take Akai mixed CD-Rom/CD-DA discs ,
so i can't load Akai programs in EXS24.
Has someone got a solution for this ?

(but it works very well if the manufacturer delivers a CD
without audio & data mixed ; a pure Akai data CD is
 needed. )
I got LAMP 4.7.3 and also Toast ,NeroMax , a Yamaha
firewire burner ,Shrinkwrap ,..

Do i need other tools ? and
How must i proceed to use this kind of Akai CDs with
EXS24 ?

Thank you .

Toast would burn your CD as a blind data session, it does not care what bits
are on the CD, I think you could try disk copy, it will only look at the
first session.

Hi, I think I did the CD copy scenario and it worked, make sure you close
the CD, and that you have burned the data session, the first one I think.,
last night I had a brand new akai disk hanging my computer every time, its
strange.... As for toast, select CD copy and let it do an extract image
first, not sure if it will work though, try removeing extra CD extensions
other that apple's

Best of luck

Yeah defiantly considering that it plays uncompressed formats and stores
files....

EXS doesn't read an AKAI DATA track saved with
Astarte CD-copy then burned with Toast as DATA file ,
til now.......
Can you explain about disk copy ? How do you proceed ?
So if someone knows how to burn an AKAI DATA disc , on Mac,
please let me know .

Thank You .

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
