I've not used this very much myself, but it was an interesting experiment to
try using it on some single-cycle waveforms  - sawtooth and sine if I
remember rightly - to examine just what it could do. It does add stuff to
the basic waveform and I was able to use the 'enriched' samples as raw
material for synthesis. I may give this another go and use the results in
EXS24.

It makes your wavefile go red ;-)
Seriously, from a purely "ears only" POV, the results sound somewhere
between compression and an exciter. I used it just recently to add presence
to an odd-sounding vocal that was already in place in a mix. I'll be
definitely using it more often.

Basically it is just very hard limiter.

Mastering is a much more complicated concept than simply compressing 
the program.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
