Totally agree.

How come Logic uses a long time to calculate overwiev's while we are recording and then recalculate them again after recording?
How come this takes such a long time inside Logic while Paris uses way less time and that Paris's overwiev is zoomable to sampleaccuracy? (this is on the same PC)

I have seen reports that the graphics in Logic 5.0 should be faster now.
Hopefully they have done something to the overwievs too.

May I give you a tip that apparently not that many people know?
When you "progress bar" appears when the overview is being creating,
double click that progress bar and click "finish".
If you didn't know this before, you're gonna like it. :)

Bye,
Joeri

Yeah, I liked it! But why is it so incredibly much faster when doing this
than the default update process? What's the catch so to speak. ;)

When doing it that way, I think it takes ALL CPU instead of "most" CPU.
I'll send a mail to Emagic though, asking them to change it to the
"faster" setting, as you mostly can't do anything when drawing overviews
anyway.

You can't do anything else during the redraw. (who cares?)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
