Got myself a new harddisk, a maxtor 80GB.

Now I am going to initialize it.

Could you please tell me which format fits best for audio??

Is it Extebded (HFS+)?
Or just HFS?

HFS+, no problem.  The advantage is that you can use smaller block 
sizes and thus waste less space, esp. on large partitions.  I've 
never maxed out my HFS+ HD yet, but constantly run into CPU overloads 
:).  I remember someone from Emagic saying (quite some time ago) that 
they too recommend using HFS+.
