Yeah, this have been rumours about this for a long time, & it is SOOO
unlikely to happen.  You need to realize just what exactly the
foundation is.  It is the Darwin kernel, the very basic level of the
OS, no graphical interface, hardly any of the system software, the
audio handling & handling of pretty much all other non-basic devices,
etc.  I think that Darwin actually has been ported for PC processors,
but that's really not much to get excited about because it's just
another UNIX kernel & there are already tons to out there for PC
chips, plus ones that have all of the other levels built on top.
Porting the rest of OS X, the stuff that Apple has done that is not
open source, is I'm sure about 100 times harder than porting Darwin,
& do you really think that they will spend their time doing that?  I
really really doubt it.  They make hardware & software for their
hardware, but their own hardware is quite central to what they do.
