Fdisk doesnt format a drive. 'Format' formats the drive (ie the dos command) Fdisks prepares the disk for formatting as either a primary or logical disk. There is an apple extension that allows the drive to be recognised if formatted to FAT16. You cannot have a Mac and a PC simultaneously connected as the SCSI cards in each will have the same scsi ID. Best way is to use CDR, or set up a FTP server on your network (we do this). Aside from that try zip disks/jaz disks and have a drive on each. Natively the Mac will read PC disks (with the PC Exchange extension mentioned before), or you can buy Trans Mac. James Richmond
