Applemagic interface???

I've had thoughts about buying an iBook based portable studio with a Firewire 8 audio input device (MOTU828). And I'm even going to move from PC to do this (because I like Logic much more than PC/windoze) but........... Trouble is... MOTU 828 has no midi in or out and does not yet run under OSX, neither does Audio desk. Also I dont want to leave my working LAW Gold 4.5 system- because, well, it just works, and very well, and stable! So, no upgrade to 5.0 and no free crossgrade for me. with Apple and Emagic now one, how about this idea!!! better than Digi 001 (or 002), better than MOTU 828, but at the same price (\ufffd700) "Applemagic Logic FAiM" Firewire Audio interface (with) Midi, with four (yes four high quality mic pre's with phantom power (from mackie) and build in soft limiters on each audio pre.... 4 line inputs, 8 line outs SPDIF in/out ADAT in/out can record all 18 inputs at once, and play back through any of the 18..... Midi in/ out sockets (828 lacks this) works only on a firewire Mac, and has OSX operating system level integration (1ms latency) 24 bit 96Khz a/d d/a's (switchable down to 16/44.1 ) oh, and looks fantastic- in the way that Apple design their hardware, and......comes with a special version of Applemagic Logic audio ver 6X that beats the pants off Audio desk and Pro tools LE, because it is perrfectly integrated into OSX, Core audio, audio units (with VST wrapper for VST plugs), and can come with ES1 and ESX24 for a bit extra cash. This has all the midi and audio excellence of Logic- and then some.....oh. and an "auto tune "type plug in and perhaps an amp sim (line6??) Awesome or what? Imagine, interface, computer, and software from the same company, stable as a hardware recorder/midi sequencer, with the editing fun of a computer system, tight as u like (1ms latency and sample accurate everything. Monitor your recording with FX (eg reverb on vocal takes) but record dry. When can I get one please???? (p.s. they also would sell a carry suitcase type thing that you simply zip open-interface one side, Mac laptop on the other, and start recording.
