Just tested a 1 gig piano sample in EXS-24 with VSM loaded and it
converts very well in WINDOWS XP. Question does EXS on MAC read a .gig
file ? EXS converts it to a folder DLS.GIGA samples does the Mac see
this or quite frankly if the MAC reads a .gig file thats the question.
Any GIGAPHILES on this site? What are the legalities for a converted
file. It would be great if one could download these files
somewhere....just thoughts? One thing is for sure with the EXS GIGA on
PC does not need a GSIF DRIVER in the conversion process and this is a
big plus. Can anyone on MAC report back about GIGA conversions Many

It works just fine.  I don't have any idea about the "legalities" but 
if you  bought the license for the samples I can't imagine there 
being an issue.

Thanks Dennis so the MAC OS X will read any .gig CD and EXS will
convert no problem. I take it you have tested this ? So in theory U
can load and play GIGA in EXS with LOGIC's efx does Cubase SX /VST do
this?

In *practice* I can and I do it regularly.

It converts them, but with a restriction. The modwheel X-fades are
converted to a switch function. EXS doesn't have the ability to X-fade
between groups.
