Joeri,
I snatched this from the RME site. It was updated 1/5/01. They do not
mention refresh rate however. I suspect 100Hz is reachable by both cards. I
was unable to find spec's on the Nvidia card with a dual VGA configuration.
However, here's a link to the pdf manual for the Matrox card which has the
spec's your looking for.
http://www.matrox.com/mga/support/user_manuals/mill_g450/millg450_en.pdf .
Both of these cards in the US are under $150.00.

From RME Site:
The Graphics Card
The Matrox G400/450 Dual Head with 32MB memory, capable of feeding up to 2
monitors and TV, had no competition so far. Meanwhile the Asus V7100 V2D1
showed up as interesting alternative. Its Geforce MX chipset offers full 3D
and DVD acceleration at a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 per monitor. The
Matrox can even run two 17" flat panels at full 1280 x 1024 resolution each.
Both cards are working very well and come with up to date drivers, even
under Windows 2000.
You don't need a second monitor? Everyone who has worked in 'stereo' for at
least 1 hour knows it better. A second monitor is no luxury, but actually
worth every single penny. Considering the cost for a complete system
(computer, RME DIGI card and software cost around 5000 DM / US$ 2500),
another 700 DM / US$350 for a 19" monitor is not that much more. Even when
it is required later or when you intend to use an additional monitor that
you already own, the Matrox Dual Head will be the basis for flexibility and
sensibility

Subject: [L-OT] OT: two 17" monitors at 100Hz
Hi,
I'd like to install a second monitor. I currently have one 17" 1024*768
monitor at 100Hz. I'd like to know what the best (affordable!!!)
solution is to have two monitors: what videocard should I use??? I dual
head? If so, which one performs well enough to offer 100Hz for BOTH
monitors? Thanks.
On the website of Asus and Matrox, there's no info on what refresh rate
they support for two monitors at the same time. The Asus 7100 looks
interesting, but I really need the 100Hz. for both monitors and I don't
know whether it performs well enough...
Bye,
Joeri
