hello!
could You recommend me an audio interface or audio card for working with Logic Audio? now i've got PC, but i'm going to buy Mac this year - so it should work with both of them. it should have balanced inputs (4 or more) and balanced outputs (4 or more, too), 24 bit/ 96 kHz (or more), and it would be nice to have MIDI and ADAT. now i've got Wave Center PCI (and Yamaha 03D, which i'd like to sell), and when i configure Logic for more outputs than 2 (stereo), computer shows me the window: "ASIO: System Overload. The audio engine was not able to process all required date in time./-10011/" after every operation. i have acual drivers (for XP, but i have had the same problems in Win Me and 98), and all buffers (latency too) configured for "maximum". i have had the same problem with Wave Center in other computers with different versions of Logic, and i have heard the same story about Terratec.
i'm going to buy new hardware and work with Logic Audio (it's the best!), so i ask you, what i have to buy.
thanks.

maybe emagic is going to make something like this?

RME Hammerfall DSP series is excellent. The PCI card version and the
Cardbus version both work with Multiface which has:
8 in/8 out Analog
Midi in /out
Adat in/out
Spdif in/out
Wordclock
etc

There are other versions (Digiface, new HDSP model) if you want more analog
via ADAT.

This setup runs at low latency with VSTi's and Logic's audioinstruments and
is absolutely rocksolid on PC. Reports for the Mac are generally very good
from what I read but I have yet to use mine with a Mac. The company has an
excellent forum for info on hardware issues etc and the chief developer
answers questions there promptly. This is what I would buy again if I lost
mine.

Delta 1010 is cheaper and is also good but not as efficient with CPU.
It has:
8 in/8 out Analog
Midi in /out
Spdif in/out
Wordclock
Does not have ADAT I/O but you can get an extra box from M-Audio which
allows ADAT connection to the Delta1010.

Others report good results with MOTU products on the Mac but no so great
with PC.

Hope that gets you started,
