Vocal recording resources?

Hi, Does anyone know of a good site or book to turn to for ideas on lead vocal recording/sweetening. I know that's a pretty vague request, but I have to believe that there somebody has had some success and shared their set up as a starting point that one could apply to achieve, say, a Coldplay-like sound? Before I get blasted off the forum for being so naive, what I mean is; there must be some tried and proven production combinations of delay, reverb, doubling, shifting and exciting that could get a close-miked male vocal into the Coldplay ballpark? Something I could dial into the gear that I have, which, although not Apogee and Neve, is still pretty damn good, and should be able to get close. Or is it having a $15k Lexicon that really DOES make the difference. I refuse to believe it. If someone asked me how they could take a head and shoulders portrait and enhance it in Photoshop to make it look like a gallery shot, I could point them in approximately the right direction (cos that's what I do). I'm looking for the vocal recording equivalent... Open to all pointers. Thanks. Set up with: Logic 6.1/OSX Delta 66 card Rode NTK mic Focusrite VoiceMaster Pro PreAmp/Optical Compressor/EQ
