Cheap, decent soundcard

Cheap, decent soundcard

2004-03-15 by HKC

What should I buy if I need a low latency 2 in/out soundcard. Its just for home recording but its absolutely a must that its stable. Latency should be low enough for playing softsynths, I seem to remember that the Delta Audiophile is pretty good, is that still the case, theyre very cheap now.

I couldn't be happier with my Audiophile 24/96 card. The latency is so
low that I routinely play softsynths in realtime without noticing any
delay (I use the Audiophile's MIDI I/O as well as audio I/O), and I
have zero stability issues (using the CoreAudio drivers in OS X; YMMV
if you're not using OS X yet).
