Good to see the OT list being used for a change- maybe it will take some of
the Garbage off the main list.

BTW, Colin Owen should have known better than to call someone a "cretin" as
cretinism is a severe mental and physical disabillity brought about by an
underactive thyroid gland. Its a serious and permanent disabillity and
should not be used lightly as a casual insult, especially by a practising
christian.

Makes you wonder what sort of people these bible bashers really are??

Cheers

Yes.
Even if I'm the last person to care about some OT stuff in the main list,
things would be easier if people took them over here. But apparently our
most famous OT posters just love annoy everybody. Instead they also might
not know how to handle their mail clients (wonder how they handle Logic
then...)

Well, the word "Cretin" often might me used to flame somebody, sometimes
even in a funny way, at least over here, just similar to "Idiot". And well,
this is without any disrespect to people suffering from that (truly
horrible) desease, in fact many people just know the word as that, they
don't even know cretinism as a desease is existing.

Anyways, the thing I was annoyed the most with is that Colin didn't quote
anything in his original post, it just reads like everybody involved in that
thread was meant.
If he only would've started a little flame with some quotes he'd reply
something nasty to I'm sure it'd be nothing else than just this, a little
flame - business as usual. Most likely nobody would've ever even mentioned
the usage of the word "cretin".
IMO the bad thing was to generalize things. That even was stupid - I mean,
as a clever person you would have known before what kinda echoes such an
answer would get...

Cheers,
Sascha
