And then I would point out that it's either drastic changes or being
stuck
with legacy problems and there you have another platform war.

There is only one company to blame for Logic dropping support of VST,
and that
company is Steinberg; ready why in the Logic documentation.

Maybe it would help if you told it to the people in Cupertino. Shouting
at a
usergroup, no matter how loud, won't help.

It's just simply not that obvious whether they are really flaws or just
design
choices with advantages and disadvantages, and neither is it that
obvious
that Emagic/Apple is to blame for all of them. And stating these
opinions as
obvious facts is how wars are started.

...what about all other software
companies ??? ...motu,ableton,cakewalk and console come to my mind
now, not sure if reason supports vst but there are also a few hosts
out there, and not counting pluggin developers. I understand
Steimberg is not calling at Emapple´s door to give them
spacifications, but the information is there for a lot of people in
this industry, and they make their apps work really good in some
cases.
Besides that, VST was working pretty well with Logic on both Mac and
PC.
To me was a major error to drop VST (and also drop PC, but I don´t
want to start a plattform war) :-)
