Video & Audio on one system

I am a relatively ameteur user coming from a PC background. I am about to
move to a Mac and Logic environment. I have two questions:

1. Can Mac run Logic and Final Cut on the same machine without too much
difficult?  In the PC world, using your machine for both presented problems;
as did using your audio machine for anything else, like word processing,
internet, etc.

2. Is it wise to buy a new G5 with OSX now or should I be waiting for the
new Intel-based machines? I tend to be cautious and would prefer to let
them work out the bugs first. But if I wait, will my OS be obsolete for
upgrades and such in a year? Two?

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

I have them on the same computer they seem to work
wel.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
