Re: Is LPC2138 UART levels OK for a 5V part?

Nice system for green houses or other "lighter" use. Our cables are
heavy duty, taking a load of 4.5 tons each. As we are mainly in dusty
environments we also face the need to meet the ATEX (explosive safe)
regulations.

We have from a handheld instrument (Windows CE) and a probe that you
stick in to the grain to a central computer talking to distributed
cards (LPC2138 + DS2480B) via a RS-485 network. 24/7 data collection
with unlimited retension of data, alarm triggers individually per
sensor / cable, alarm for raising or over temperature, reporting...you
name it and it's in there :-)

My next step is to add embedded webserver, radio modem, bluetooth and
control panel as add-on cards to it.

Cheers
/Johan
