Microtronix offers Altera based boards that boot Linux. It's very straight forward to extend the platform with custom (VHDL/Verilog) periperhals in a short amount of time. Altera uses Eclipse and GNU for the Nios-II tool chain. The opencores.org Wishbone interface matches very close to the Nios-II interface. Anyhow back to the topic of LPCs. Joel
