The basic idea is to configure the SPI or SSP as a slave device and supply the clock and control signals. These can be derived from timers / external logic as required. There are some restrictions if you require continuous back-to-back transmission. See ch.12&13 in user manual. The LPC provides the shift register, everything else is application specific.
