They are important to me too, but I don't see the point of that series of
postings
a la " The OKI does this and that so much better than your Philips, and the
Atmel
does this like that".
Why is one on a Philips LPC2000 forum then ?
THAT'S the part that annoyed me.
If MCU XYZ doesn't do what I want, or I can't use it, I won't be
frequenting a forum
about it, and regularly posting, "yeah, but the LPC2000 is much cheaper,
and it's got more RAM,
and the pin count is much lower, its current is much lower than XYZ etc
etc"
What's the point of that ??????
I hope that better explains my post.
I appreciate some of the postings that redsp makes/made, but I wished
he'd
just give it a bone on the lack of current figures in datasheet.
Redsp's altruistic claim that it is to "help others" is not very
convincing.
Do you regularly post on like 20 other MCU forums about current issues
there ?
Didn't think so - that's my point - if you, respectfully, "get the
point".
Anyway, let's leave it there, I'm entitled to my opinion too, and that was
just mine.

As above, this is irrelevant.

So am I, but I measured them instead of constantly bleating about it.
How can a datasheet possibly cover all permutations of a user's config
?
that's riiculous.

So what do you do ?
Look at the datasheet, and design a full-on application PCB from that
?
Of course not, that's just silly - We all do a prototype - and if someone
can't be bothered
to spend 15 minutes doing their current tests, then that's just plain lazy
IMHO.
