I am not sure. I do not know of any other manufacturer offering security using similar methods. Set aside security for the moment. Suppose the boot loader upgrade process failed and one ended up with 2000 parts all assembled and in perfect working order except for startup code that disables JTAG and then loops in bad code without any means of invoking ISP. The design of piece of hardware that can be destroyed in this manner says a lot. Jaya
