Were you given official permission to announce Crossworks 1.6
or did you just see it on the website?

The link seems to be dead right now (0900 GMT Thursday 1 June).

I don't know if this is
(a) a bug that some of those at the bleeding edge have discovered
(b) to prevent them from exceeding bandwidth allowances
(c) to allow their license-issuing department to keep up
(d) incompetence - the file is sitting there but not where
the link is pointing
(e) just a preview to those who are selected beta testers
(f) something else more innocent

Do you think we should wait for an "official" announcement?

It's actually been announced on the Rowley web site, which is how I found 
out that it was available. I just checked and didn't have any trouble 
starting the download from:
