Board with RS232 and RS485

2004-06-15 by nonuckingfumber

I have used a 2106 based prototyping board to make an adapter that
allows an RS232 gateway onto a legacy RS485 network. The board I used
had 1 RS232 port and the RS485 is on the breadboarding area.

I am going to need small quantities of these and it is a toss up
between making a custom PCB or using prototyping boards and adding on
the extra circuits **unless** somebody knows of a ready made 2106
board with RS232 and RS485!

BTW, power consumption and size (within limits) is not an issue, and
it could also be a 2104.....memory is not a problem. Indeed the only
reason for switching to an ARM (from an 8051 derivative) was the
performance required.
