Well you are bringing out the serial lines already so that would be just
one extra pin on your connector. However, I presume there are reasons you
are reluctant to do that.

There was an earlier thread (loading hex-es) where we speculated about
simply clearing the first area of flash and then resetting to induce the
LPC to enter program mode as if it were a new (or misprogrammed)
part. Since no one has done this yet AFAIK you should test this before
committing to using it with encapsulated boards. It does look like a
reasonable idea though.
