Questions:  What's your supply voltage for CPU core?
Is that exact 1.8V or Higher? like 2.5V??
I believe you should run faster at higher core voltage.

Actually, I'm just thinking of supply slightly higher 
than 1.8V for my 50MHz operation.   That should improve
the reliability.
