you had to send/read 3 bytes on the SPI to give the necessary clock to 
the ADS8325 and take the data from it..
you should have a look to the application notes at the bottom of the 
page here :

look at the "Interfacing the MSOP8EVM to MSP430 Processors". you 
should find the explanation here and sample code..
